The 2021 Water Finance Conference, which is being presented in a virtual format this month, will conclude its virtual sessions Thursday, Aug. 19 with Session 4. This year's conference is covering a range of topics in the water/wastewater utility finance space including rate setting, customer affordability, short- and long-term financial planning, federal and state finance action, and the intersect of new technology and capital planning.
This year marks the seventh annual Water Finance Conference, which since 2015 has exclusively covered financing in the U.S. water utility sector. This year's event was originally scheduled for this month in Washington, D.C. But due to limited travel and budgets, organizers decided to keep the conference virtual one more year with the hope of getting back to the in-person format in 2022.
