Water Design-Build Council Announces Leadership Change

Norm GadzinskiOn April 28, Norm Gadzinski, a vice president with Parsons Environment & Infrastructure?(PE&I), a primary business unit of Parsons Corp., was appointed Water Design-Build Council (WDBC) president following the resignation of Andrew Albrecht. WDBC?s Bylaws require that officer and board positions must be filled by a representative of the company, which is the legal member. Subsequently, WDBC Board members unanimously approved the recommendation of the Executive Committee on April 25, to appoint Gadzinski to fill out the remaining months of his term, and conveyed their sincere appreciation to Albrecht for his valuable work in WDBC over the years.

This seamless transition was possible due to Gadzinski?s active participation as an alternate Board member representing Parsons. Norm chaired the WDBC Research Committee and has supported the work of the Education and Technical Practices Committees. Parsons has also appointed vice president Mark Halleman to serve as the alternate member.

Gadzinski has more than 30 years of executive, client service management, project management, business development and business operations experience in the environmental, water, and wastewater industry. With proven experience in bid-build construction, construction management, and integrated project delivery (design-build and construction management-at-risk [CMAR]), he currently leads the alternative project delivery business development efforts for Parsons. Specializing in design-build and CMAR procurement, Gadzinski has served the industry as a practitioner, consultant and owner?s advisor.

He has been involved in launching design-build efforts in large international firms as well as integrating lessons learned into both practitioners and owners? project delivery operations. Gadzinski recently served as the preconstruction phase project manager for the San Antonio Water System Brackish Groundwater Desalination Program CMAR project in San Antonio, Texas.
