Recently, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced it would uphold Biden-era regulations under the LCRI, the drinking water regulation mandating the replacement of all lead service lines by 2037. The Trump administration could eventually make changes to this rule, but for now, the requirement will remain in place requiring complete lead service line replacement, with the rule going into effect in 2027.
