The $1.6 billion Miami-Dade county sewer repair project has produced a steady flow of controversy as Florida public officials changed the rules for competitors for the prime contract, and the two finalists clashed over the accuracy of their stated qualifications.

The Water Design-Build Council (WDBC) members have unanimously elected Andrew Albrecht to serve as president for 2014. Albrecht is a senior vice president with Parsons Corp. (Parsons), with more than 25 years of hands-on construction management experience, including design-build and construction management-at-risk delivery.
