CIFA seeking new executive director

The Council of Infrastructure Financing Authorities (CIFA) is looking for a new executive director following the recent departure of longtime executive director Diedre Finn.

CIFA is a national not-for-profit organization that represents the Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Funds (SRFs), state-federal partnerships that provide communities with low-cost subsidized loans for water infrastructure that protects public health and the environment.

“The Council of Infrastructure Financing Authorities (CIFA) Executive Director, Diedre Finn, is moving on to other things. She has done a great job advocating for us and starting the Save the SRF campaign. CIFA is a member organization of the State Revolving Fund Program which is a 35-year program that funds drinking and clean water infrastructure projects,” said MaryAnna Peavey, Grants & Loans Bureau Chief at Idaho Department of Environmental Quality and CIFA Board member, on LinkedIn. “The CIFA Board needs someone to step into this role. As a CIFA Board member, I am hoping that we can find someone who can carry on the work she has done and help us advocate for the SRF in DC, the nation, and partner associations in the infrastructure sector.”

According to CIFA, over the last three decades, the SRF programs, combined, have generated an investment of more than $216 billion in a variety of water projects, including drinking water treatment, wastewater treatment, water recycling, stormwater management, pollution prevention, environmental conservation and green infrastructure.
