Badger Meter announces new data privacy standards

Badger Meter recently announced it has self-certified its participation with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework. The Privacy Shield program was designed by the U.S. Department of Commerce and the European Commission to provide data privacy standards for the transfer of data between European Union (EU) residents and U.S. companies in support of transatlantic commerce.

badgerThe Privacy Shield self-certification is the latest step in Badger Meter’s leadership in protecting its customers’ critical data. In 2015, the company obtained certification of its Information Security Management System under ISO 27001 and met the Service Organization Control (SOC) reporting framework of SOC-2.
