Xylem Still Sending Relief, Donations to Areas Hit by Hurricane Sandy

Xylem, a global water technology company focused on addressing water issues, distributed much-needed supplies to Hurricane Sandy victims in Northern New Jersey.

Two Xylem sales representatives, Mark Michael and Pat Witts, worked tirelessly around the clock with the rest of Godwin’s Northeast branches to ensure pumps were delivered to affected cities up and down the East coast to help relieve flooded areas so families had hope to resume to some type of normalcy.

In addition to working around the clock dispatching, delivering, setting up and servicing pumps, employees responded to Michael?s and Witts? call for donations to purchase much-needed supplies for local Northern New Jersey residents.

To date, Xylem employees in the U.S. and UK donated $9,545 (USD), prior to Xylem’s double match initiative. Xylem joined the American Red Cross to provide emergency funds, and activated a double match for employee contributions. Total employee contributions were last tallied at $22,800 for a total donation through Xylem of $68,500.

?Mark and Pat, two of the youngest sales representatives in our New Jersey region, have donated their time after their workday was over to purchase supplies from the donations received and load their trucks,? said Anne Denny, CFO of Xylem’s dewatering solutions business. ?They drove to North Jersey the following day to distribute the supplies and help local branch personnel. Mark and Pat have gone above and beyond as representatives of Godwin.?
