WSSC treatment facilities get award for nutrient removal, performance

Two prominent water industry organizations recently recognized five of the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission's (WSSC) water resource recovery facilities (WRRFs - formerly known as wastewater treatment plants) for outstanding performance.  

The Water Environment Federation (WEF) awarded WSSC Water’s Seneca WRRF the Project Excellence Award. WEF’s annual Project Excellence Award pays tribute to excellence and innovation in executing projects and programs in the water sector.
