World Water Works Receives 2016 Manufacturing Leadership Award

World Water Works, a designer and manufacturer of wastewater treatment solutions, was selected by Frost & Sullivan?s Manufacturing Leadership (ML) Council?s 2016 Manufacturing Leadership Awards for manufacturing the patent-pending new AvN technology, developed by DC Water and Hampton Roads Sanitation District (HRSD).

The prestigious Manufacturing Leadership Awards honor manufacturing companies and individual leaders that are shaping the future of global manufacturing. World Water Works was recognized along with three other companies, Daikin Applied Americas, Inc., Hernon Manufacturing, Inc., and The Dow Chemical Company, in the New Product Leadership category.

?We are extremely honored to have been chosen for Frost & Sullivan?s 2016 Manufacturing Leadership
Awards for the AvN technology,? said World Water Works? CEO Mark Fosshage. ?This game-changing
new product will help deliver the cleanest water while transforming wastewater treatment plants into
power plants.?

The AvN technology, which is named for the balance it achieves in Ammonia Oxidizing Bacteria (AOB) vs.
Nitrite Oxidizing Bacteria (NOB), is a wastewater process control and optimization technology that utilizes a proprietary control strategy, applying selective pressure to aid in the segregation of the desired
bacterial populations. AvN delivers a rapid return on investment to customers by managing the influent
carbon, minimizing the alkalinity demands and reducing the energy requirement of the system, all while
maintaining superior effluent quality. Clients who implement this technology can anticipate not only
monetary savings from the system but also an easier to operate plant facility.

World Water Works was acknowledged in addition to 72 other companies to receive this year?s
Manufacturing Leadership Award. All winners and their technology partners will be honored on June 8,
2016, at a gala celebration that concludes the 12th annual Manufacturing Leadership Summit
in Carlsbad, Calif.

?World Water Works strives to provide unparalleled performance with our technologies
and we are thrilled to be recognized for the work and partnerships we are a part of,” Fosshage added.
