William Reilly to Give Keynote At One Water Leadership Summit

Former U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator William K. Reilly will offer the Keynote at the One Water Leadership Summit in San Francisco, Aug. 26-28. Reilly will address ?The Growing?Strategic Importance of Water? in light of a variable climate, population shifts and economic growth.

Reilly has also served previously as president of the World Wildlife Fund. Presently, he is chairman of the advisory board of the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions at Duke University, co-chairman of the Bipartisan Policy Center Energy Project and co-chairman of the board of the Global Water Challenge. He is also a director of the Packard Foundation.

The theme of this year’s summit is ?Water Sustainability in a Changing Climate? and features numerous expert panels on water reuse, desalinization, communicating the value of water infrastructure, green infrastructure and stormwater management, corporate sustainability and numerous other topics.

The One Water Leadership Summit also aims to convey the U.S. Water Alliance’s massage of one water and how community collaboration can connect the dots among water, land use, parks, forests, transportation, energy, and other sectors to achieve multi-benefit projects that produce triple bottom-line results.
