WEF, EPA recognize communities for stormwater excellence

The Water Environment Federation (WEF) recently honored 13 communities for what it called excellence in stormwater management, including exceeding permit requirements and sharing knowledge with the water sector.

The municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4) programs were selected as part of the National Municipal Stormwater and Green Infrastructure Awards, a program developed by WEF in cooperation with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The winners were officially recognized earlier in October at WEFTEC in New Orleans.
