The Water Design-Build Council has announced the publication of a new guide on design-build delivery methods for water and wastewater projects.
This new guide provides an overview of the decision-making steps involved in selecting a design-build delivery method. Derived from excerpts in the soon to be available third edition of the Municipal Water and Wastewater Design-Build Handbook, this guide is intended as an abridged source of information to those desiring to use one of the design-build delivery methods. It also serves as a valuable introductory message to anyone interested in learning more about design-build delivery.
Design-build and construction management at risk (CMAR) methods of project delivery are growing in popularity due to their ability to reduce project costs and delivery time, also enhancing supplier and subcontractor input into projects.?
The Water Design-Build Council has also partnered with the Design-Build Institute of America to produce a new series of educational videos on design-build and CMAR project delivery methods. The first video in this series, ?Project Delivery Methods for Water and Wastewater Infrastructure: Design-Build and Construction Management at Risk? is now available.
