The winners of the 2025 US Water Prize were recognized at the US Water Alliance’s One Water Summit, held July 8-11 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Since 2011, the US Water Alliance has been recognizing outstanding ‘One Water’ leaders and organizations. The US Water Alliance said this year’s winners came from its largest pool of nominees to date. Ten individuals and organizations were selected for their work in developing sustainable, integrated and inclusive solutions to water challenges.
The 2025 US Water Prize winners are:
- Outstanding Public Sector Organization: Washington State Department of Ecology
- Outstanding Private Sector Organization: Seven Seas Water Group
- Outstanding Nonprofit Organization: The Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Cities Initiative
- Outstanding One Water Communication: Miami-Dade County Water and Sewer Department
- Outstanding Rising One Water Leader: Ryan Barton and Jocelyn Lu Morinishi
- Outstanding Artist: Bobby Zokaites
- Outstanding Public Official: The Hon. Kate Gallego
- Outstanding Water Workforce Member: Jeremi Watkins
- People’s Choice Award for Social and Innovative Media: Walnut Valley Water District
The One Water Summit welcomed more than 700 registrants to Pittsburgh. The event featured several solutions-focused conversations on how the nation can better value and manage water to foster economic prosperity, community well-being, and environmental sustainability. The program included more than 100 speakers in four plenaries, six learning labs, and 20 concurrent sessions.
