U.S. Water Alliance Taking ?One Water? Message to San Francisco

The U.S. Water Alliance is carrying its ?One Water? theme from Washington, D.C. to San Francisco, Aug. 26-16 for its annual One Water Leadership Summit, where water experts will gather to explore the concept of integration across the water cycle and other aspects of urban environment.

The agenda will explore the current momentum and future opportunities for the One Water approach as it increases water sustainability in a changing climate.? A content rich plenary of panels will? be offered on everything from Green Streets, to Urban On-site Innovation, to the ?Circular Economy? and Water, to ?High Road? Solutions for Community Based Public Private Partnerships, as well as a deep-dive on the City of San Diego?s journey from Contention to Collaboration.

The panels will be inspired by One Water Futures (10-minute talks) sprinkled throughout the program from Water Sector leaders:? George Hawkins, General Manager, DC Water; David St. Pierre, MWRD of Greater Chicago; Ben Grumbles, Secretary of the Environment, State of Maryland; and Robin Gilthorpe, WaterSmart CEO. The keynote will be delivered by The Honorable William K. Reilly, Senior Advisor TPG Capital, former Administrator of U.S. EPA, Chairman of the Board Global Water Challenge, on The Growing Importance of Water.

In a national conference still small enough that leaders can sit face-to-face, Strategic Sidebar Conversations will offer an opportunity to express your viewpoints and solutions.? Water leaders, sustainability directors, transportation, parks and recreation officials, as well as business leaders, non-profit organizations, and U.S. EPA regulators?will all attend at affordable registration rates $245 non-profits, $445 members, $495 non-members.
