Tesco Controls joins Water Design-Build Council

Tesco Controls, Inc., (TESCO), a company specializing in systems integration for water distribution and collection, has joined the Water Design-Build Council (WDBC) Board of Directors. Tesco Controls becomes the first system integrator to join the WDBC.

Representing TESCO as an allied member on the WDBC Board of Directors is Brian Adams, P.E., Director of Design-Build Projects. Prior to joining TESCO, Adams was a civil and mechanical contractor. He then began practicing as a P.E. in various roles at national and global consulting firms focused on water and wastewater projects. Most recently, Adams was a key team member of the water design-build sales group for a multinational firm that designs and constructs water and wastewater treatment plants.

TESCO’s alternate board member, Shain Thomas, CEO commented, “Our company is honored to help further the work of WDBC, and to support its educational initiatives and industry advocacy.”

Under Thomas’ leadership and strategic direction, TESCO, a 45-year-old employee-owned company, has seen substantial growth over the past five years, largely influenced by its involvement in significant water design-build projects.

“We believe strongly in the design-build approach as a means of delivering optimal outcomes for the client,” Thomas added.

The Water Design-Build Council

Chartered in 2006, WDBC’s mission is to evolve best practices for successful implementation of water projects through collaborative delivery methods. They fulfill this mission by facilitating thought leadership with stakeholders through research, education and communication. WDBC seeks to advance the development and rehabilitation of the nation’s municipal water and wastewater systems through the design-build and construction management at-risk (CMAR) methods of project delivery. These processes integrate both the design and construction phases to optimize innovation, speed, quality control and single-point accountability.
