Pure Technologies is pleased to announce the appointment of David Burke, P.E. as vice president for its southeast region. 
Burke brings an intimate knowledge of how large municipal utilities operate to Pure with more than 27 years of experience at the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission, which is the 8th largest water and wastewater utility in the United States. In his most recent position, he was the Group Leader of WSSC?s Technical Services Group.
At WSSC, Burke was also responsible for defining and implementing WSSC?s award winning pre-stressed concrete cylinder pipe (PCCP) management program, which has long been recognized as one of the most progressive and successful pipeline management programs in the United States.
Based in Pure?s Columbia, Md. office, Burke will manage business development efforts in the southeast region and work with existing clients to develop pipeline management strategies. Burke graduated from the University of Maryland in 1988 with a bachelor?s in civil engineering and is a professional engineer in the state of Maryland.
