PEOPLE: HDR Announces Staff Changes

Andy Shea has been named the Water business group?s vice president and new market sector director for industrial/private client based in HDR?s King of Prussia office near Philadelphia, Pa.

Shea joins HDR after five years as director of U.S. development director for Acciona Agua S.A., a seawater desalination, water purification and utility management firm headquartered in Madrid, Spain.

Prior to his tenure at Acciona Agua, Shea was vice president at a private water development company and was responsible for new business development for seawater desalination and wastewater reclamation own/operate projects and EPC contracting. He started his career in the water industry working for United Water Services as a regional vice president in charge of public-private partnerships.

In addition to his work with development of private water ventures, Shea worked in the power industry developing independent power and cogeneration projects. He has also been involved with regulatory policy, including federal and state public-private partnership legislation and tax-exempt financing initiatives.
Shea serves as chairman of the WateReuse Association?s desalination committee, an industry leadership role for desalination advocacy, public education and research.

He holds a bachelor of arts degree in human biology/environmental planning and a master of science degree in civil engineering/infrastructure planning and management.

In other HDR news:

Nicki Pozos has been named HDR?s marketing manager for the Oregon Water business group based in the Portland office. In her new role, Pozos will support the local HDR team in understanding and delivering on the critical water, wastewater and stormwater management needs of Oregon utilities, while continuing to serve technical roles on water planning projects.

Dave Ludwin has been named the business group?s program management director based in the Los Angeles office. Ludwin comes to HDR from Parsons Water and Infrastructure where he served as vice president for business development, primarily in the western United States. Ludwin held previous positions at CH2M HILL including principal program manager for the global water business group and operations manager/regional business group manager of the southwest region.

Ken Lykens, P.E., has been named Central Region director based in HDR?s Denver office.? Lykens, who has more than 20 years of leadership and management experience in the water and wastewater industry, joins HDR after working at MWH Americas Inc., since 2005. Prior to joining MWH, Lykens worked for Denver Water for 12 years.

Lorraine Veltri has been named Strategic Pursuits director based in HDR?s Pittsburgh office. Veltri has served the past three years as the East Region Strategic Pursuits leader. She now will be in charge of organizing all of the Water business group pursuits and take a leadership role in developing its client management program.
