PEOPLE: HDR Announces Personnel Moves

Susan Gilbert has been named West Region director for HDR?s Water business group. She will be based in Denver. A professional engineer, Gilbert has more than 26 years of industry experience and has been with HDR for more than four years, most recently serving as Central Region leader for the Water business group.
Her experience includes work with regulatory agencies, water system modeling and facility master planning, economic and non-economic alternative analysis for water supply sources, transmission mains, reservoir sizing and facility location, and water treatment facility design. During the past 10 years she has been heavily involved with clients and regulators in the development of alternative delivery projects.

She holds bachelor of science degrees in civil/environmental engineering, a master of science degree in environmental engineering and a master?s degree in business administration.

In other moves, the company announced that Guillermo Garcia has been named the Southern California area marketing manager for HDR?s Water Business Group. Garcia joined HDR when CGvL Engineers, a company he co-founded, was acquired in 2004. Since that time Garcia has served as both a senior project and client service manager.? He has more than 35 years of experience in planning, designing and managing construction of water, recycled water and wastewater facilities. His areas of expertise include water and wastewater conveyance system design, wastewater treatment and recycled water process design. Garcia also has extensive experience in construction management, construction assistance and permitting.

Kathryn Jones has joined HDR?s Minneapolis office as a project manager in the Water/Wastewater program. Jones has more than 13 years of experience in management and execution of water, wastewater and environmental planning, study and design projects in the public and non-profit sectors. Her project experience in long-range planning for water systems includes capital project analysis and planning, water conservation planning, and water supply and treatment design. She has experience in water supply and wastewater systems design, including groundwater wells, water treatment, distribution and storage infrastructure, and wastewater collection systems. As a client services manager, she has managed multi-disciplinary project teams and directed large stakeholder processes.
