The Water Finance Research Foundation provides (WFRF) represents a network of volunteer water and utility finance professionals who are dedicated to finding affordable and sustainable solutions to address the aging water infrastructure crisis. The foundation focuses on addressing the need for better data on cost drivers in order to improve and justify resource allocations through the operating and capital budgeting process.

WF&M recently chatted with Greg Baird, president of the Water Finance Research Foundation and a frequent contributor to WF&M, to get his thoughts on the early impact of the coronavirus pandemic on water/wastewater utility operations, short and long-term financial implications and how looking to digital solutions can help mitigate challenges now and in the future.
