The National Association of Water Companies (NAWC) held its annual Water Summit Oct. 4-6, 2015 at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale at Gainey Ranch in Scottsdale, Ariz., with close to 350 in attendance. The theme of the 2015 Summit?was ?Private Enterprise. Public Trust.?
The 2015 NAWC Water Summit was designed around the new water narrative ? programming focused on the shared responsibility for this precious resource and shaping the future of water management to fulfill this responsibility.
Over the course of two days, attendees heard from industry experts, thought leaders and innovators as they shared their perspectives on topics including public trust, sustainability, capital markets and regulatory challenges.
?The private sector?s role is about so much more than the safe and reliable delivery of water to the nation?s homes and businesses,? said NAWC Executive Director Michael Deane. ?We share a responsibility to safeguard public health, protect the environment and ensure our quality of life and economic growth. We share a responsibility to make certain that customers understand the importance of strong and reliable water infrastructure and that they trust their local water utilities. Trust for future generations will be built on more than what comes out of the tap.?
Each year the NAWC Water Summit provides a dynamic forum for leaders in the water industry, public officials and other key stakeholders to exchange ideas, learn from one another and share solutions that sustain businesses and communities.
The 2016 NAWC Water Summit is scheduled for Oct. 2-4 in San Diego, Calif.?
