
Editor’s Note: Earlier this year, Water Finance & Management visited Washington, D.C., with its sister publication, Trenchless Technology. There, we held our annual editorial roundtable discussion concurrent with NASTT’s No-Dig Show. The idea behind this year’s discussion – titled “Navigating an Uncertain Future” – was to explore how the water/wastewater market at large might be affected in the near-term by the new presidential administration and Congress. We invited representatives of major associations representing drinking water, clean water, trenchless construction and other markets. Here’s what our participants had to say about President Donald Trump’s infrastructure agenda, how a Republican-led Congress is likely to respond to an infrastructure spending push, and what the near future might hold for needed investment.
