National Water Policy Fly-In to headline Water Week 2023

Next week, water sector leaders will gather in the nation’s capital for Water Week, an annual week of in-person meetings, events and Capitol Hill visits with lawmakers to discuss the most critical issues facing water.

The National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA), the Water Environment Federation (WEF), the Water Research Foundation (WRF), and the WateReuse Association are also proud to again be presenting the cornerstone event for Water Week 2023: the National Water Policy Fly-In.

Over the past two years, the water sector’s strong advocacy efforts have resulted in historical policy achievements and levels of federal funding passed into law that will have a positive lasting impact on countless communities across the country.

In culmination of these achievements, 2023 marks an exciting time for water professionals from around the country to gather in person in Washington, D.C., to hear from policymakers about the implementation of these achievements. Leaders will also address the outlook across Washington over the next year, and will discuss the critical value and importance of ensuring all communities have safe, sustainable, reliable and affordable water.

The two-day Policy Fly-In will begin on Tuesday afternoon, April 25, where attendees will gather to network and hear from key senior EPA and other government officials. The day will finish with an evening reception.

The agenda will continue Wednesday morning, April 26 where prominent Members of Congress will deliver remarks. Wednesday afternoon will be reserved for attendees to meet with legislators on Capitol Hill – which is once again fully open to the public.
