Michels Corp. recently announced a new leadership structure for its Pipe Services division. Pat Herzog has been appointed vice president of Michels Pipe Services and Kelly Odell has been named vice president of Advanced Pipeline Product Development.
?This is the right leadership team to continue to advance our Pipe Services division,? said Pat Michels, president of Michels Corporation. ?This new structure allows us to utilize the strengths of both of these skilled professionals to continue the development of new markets, techniques and services.?
Michels Pipe Services is a proven leader in pipeline rehabilitation, specializing in using cured-in-place pipe techniques in municipal and industrial applications.
This new structure will allow Herzog to use his organizational and leadership expertise to manage and lead the Michels? Pipe Services operation while allowing Odell to utilize his vast technical knowledge to develop new innovations and expand CIPP operations to keep Michels at the front of the industry. Odell is a respected industry leader who will continue to develop and refine new methodologies, including large diameter air inversions, which Michels recently successfully completed.
Herzog most recently served as vice president of Michels Wind Energy, where he was responsible for general operations for all wind farm construction in North America. Herzog has also been instrumental in many large civil projects across Michels, including civil infrastructure support for pipeline and high-voltage transmission work. Before joining the Michels team, Herzog served as an Engineer Officer in the U.S. Marine Corps for more than 20 years of combined active and reserve duty, as well as a decade in the construction industry.
Odell has been vice president and general manager of Michels Pipe Services since 2004, when Michels acquired Gelco Services, a leading CIPP business. Odell had been vice president and general manager at Gelco since 1997. In all, he has nearly 35 years of experience in the specialty construction industry.
