Woolpert, a national infrastructure management, geospatial and design consulting firm headquartered in Dayton, recently announced it has been selected by the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) to upgrade its Infor EAM Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system to Infor10 EAM.
Woolpert began implementation of the Infor EAM application at WASD in 2007 and successfully took version 8.3 live across 11 divisions within the department in early 2012. The upgrade of this highly customized solution tailored to each of the 11 divisions? business processes will leverage the new functionality available in the new release making it an even more robust, user-friendly asset management solution.
?Through this upgrade, the county will continue to realize an increase in cost savings and efficiencies associated with asset management software,? said Steve Schwabe, Woolpert project manager. ?Because Infor EAM interfaces with so many other WASD applications, the process is much more than simply upgrading the application. Each business workflow, especially those involving customizations and integrations, must be meticulously tested in a fully-functional, integrated test environment.?
Infor EAM interfaces with the county?s Peoplesoft?s HRMS (human resources management system) and FMIS (financial management information system), Oracle PeopleSoft billing system and ESRI GIS (geographic information system) applications. WASD also uses Infor?s Advanced Mobile solution to extend the EAM into the field with the software?s powerful suite of mobile applications.?
