Jensen Joins HDR as Water Business Group Industrial Practice Leader

James Jensen has joined HDR as the Industrial Practice leader in the Water Business Group. He will be headquartered in HDR?s Mahwah, N.J. office.?

Jensen has more than 20 years of global experience in the food, beverage and drinking water industries.?He joins HDR from PepsiCo, where he spent the past three years as director of the water sustainability platform for PepsiCo?s Corporate Advanced Research group, a startup organization created to deliver transformational technologies and processes to fuel the growth of PepsiCo.

In this role, Jensen formed and led a team of research engineers who developed a water reuse technology roadmap to deliver breakthrough water and wastewater processes. He also built a consortium of university and private researchers ? collaborating across the United States, Europe and Asia ? to create, scale-up and demonstrate process feasibility.

Demonstrating a passion for solving safe water challenges in emerging economies, Jensen also served as a subject matter expert for a private philanthropy operating in Africa and India.?

Before joining PepsiCo, Jensen was a consulting engineer at MWH Global and led multiple water treatment design projects for municipal and private clients across the Eastern United States. He is a licensed professional engineer in New York, New Jersey and Virginia.
