IPWA To Hold Financial Tools Meeting July 31

The International Private Water Association (IPWA) will?hold a Financial Tools Taskforce meeting via?conference call on Thursday, July 31 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. (EST). The focus of the meeting will be a review of Singapore International Water Week 2014.

The meeting will include a presentation by a senior official of PUB (the core organizer of SIWW), by a U.S. government official involved with the development and execution of the first ever U.S. Pavilion, and by a senior representative from the Illinois Pavilion. There will be three presenters.

Sheng Wei Yeo is?an assistant director of the Industry Development Department (IDD)?within PUB.?He is also the assistant managing director of the recent Singapore International Water Week.? As an assistant director of IDD, Sheng Wei is part of a team that works closely with all related government agencies to formulate and implement engagement strategies to attract investment in Singapore as well as facilitate project implementation.? He seeks to encourage more overseas companies and Singapore-based water companies to increase their economic activities in Singapore as well as business activities outside of Singapore.?Sheng Wei?has been very actively involved in the successful organization of Singapore International Water Week.

Haw Cheng NG has been a part of the U.S. Commercial Service since 1992. Prior to joining the U.S. Commercial Service which is housed in the U.S. Embassy, Haw Cheng worked with National SemiConductor?and with Sentosa Development Corporation as well as Singapore Manufacturers? Association. Within the U.S. Commercial Service, Haw Cheng has a variety of sector responsibilities including the environmental sector (which includes the water?sector), aerospace sector, maritime sector, transportation sector, and the building and construction sector. As a commercial specialist, Haw Cheng counsels American businesses (especially SME’s) in their endeavors to export to Singapore, and facilitates U.S. firms? entry into the Singapore market.
