IPWA Holding Financial Tools Taskforce Meeting Thursday

The International Private Water Association (IPWA) will?hold a Financial Tools Taskforce meeting via?conference call on Thursday, March 27, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. (EST). The focus of the meeting will be a presentation by the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

Please note that MCC is an independent and innovative?US foreign?aid agency that helps address the fight against poverty. It was created by Congress in 2004.?MCC provides?well-performing emerging countries with large-scale grants to fund country-led solutions for reducing poverty through sustainable economic growth.

Most importantly, MCC has a commitment to achieving sustainable water and sanitation systems in countries around the world since the availability of clean water supplies and adequate sanitation help contribute to a community?s/country?s development and productivity.

It is also important to note that MCC is not restricted to working with American companies. The corporation?will work with all appropriate companies from around the world on a given infrastructure project initiative.

PRESENTERS:

Jonathan Nash, Managing Director of the Infrastructure, Environment, and Private Sector Division within the Department of Compact Operations of MCC.

Kumar Ranganatham, Senior Director and Practice Leader in the Water and Sanitation Division within the Department of Compact Operations of MCC.?Ranganatham leads a team of engineers and project managers ? managing a US$2.0 billion portfolio of water/wastewater and sanitation projects in MCC partner countries around the world.

This a Taskforce meeting not to be missed given the growing international role of MCC around the world and their interest to work with companies from all over the world when it comes to water/wastewater and sanitation projects.
