The International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition (ICUEE) will hold its 2017 conference Oct. 3-5 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Ky. This global biennial event — owned and produced by the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) — expects to draw in more than 18,000 attendees, giving them the opportunity to check out the latest in construction equipment, as well as network with the industry’s best.
An important construction event for those involved in the new installation segments of the trenchless industry, such as (but not limited to) horizontal directional drilling, auger boring and microtunneling.
Benjamin Media Inc. (BMI) — parent company to Water Finance & Management and seven other construction-related publications — is all in for the 2017 expo serving as sponsor to the event’s indoor Demo Stage (see side bar and schedule), as well as partnering with J.J. Kane Auctioneers to present an auction to benefit our military heroes. The auction — held at noon on Oct. 5 at the Demo Stage — features items available for bid including vacation packages, equipment, tools, and more at a lower price than the retail value.
ICUEE is the premiere event for utility industry professionals to gain comprehensive insight into the latest technologies, innovations, insights, and trends affecting their industry. More than 900 exhibitors — 20-plus percent new to the 2017 show — will bring their best and brightest construction and utility equipment for attendees to operate hands-on over a record-size of 28 acres. ICUEE targets utilities providing electric, telecommunications/cable, natural gas, water, and wastewater services, as well as the contractors who provide utilities with infrastructure engineering and construction services.
ICUEE 2017 will feature specialized exhibit pavilions for fleet management, safety and green utilities, China and Korean exhibit pavilions, and the Lift Safety Zone from the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO). A two-mile Test Drive Zone highlights on-road equipment and technologies, and the indoor Demo Stage features interactive product demonstrations to complement extensive in-booth product demos.
In addition to trying out equipment, ICUEE also offers great educational opportunities through a diverse schedule of presentations aimed at those wishing to understand new technologies and learn safety and regulatory practices.
These sessions include underground construction education, as well as NASTT’s Pipe Bursting Short Course.
The new ICUEE Exhibitor Demo Stage will run during show days; exhibitors will offer concentrated 20- to 30-minute educational and interactive segments that highlight the performance or merits of a product/service in actual use or simulated situation. A moderator will host the sessions, introducing each segment and facilitating questions and answers.
Attendees can preplan their ICUEE visit using the online show planner and the ICUEE Mobile App presented by John Deere to create a personalized agenda of exhibits, education sessions and networking meetings.
Demo Stage Is Back!
ICUEE attendees in 2017 will once again be able to see and experience first-hand what new technologies and best practices exhibitors have to offer at the new ICUEE Demo Stage, presented by Benjamin Media Inc. (BMI). This partnership will bring the absolute best in innovations to The ICUEE Demo Stage, expanding the show’s popular outdoor equipment demonstration component.
“The ICUEE Demo Stage expands the show’s hallmark of outdoor equipment demos with a prime location on the show floor that offers exhibitors a highly visible opportunity to showcase their product innovations and best practices to attendees,” said Show Director Tricia Mallett. “The stage is one more way we can provide attendees with knowledge to improve their productivity and bottom line, and we greatly appreciate and value the continued support of Benjamin Media as an industry partner.”
“What better way to celebrate Benjamin Media’s 25th anniversary than to host the ICUEE Demo Stage where we can educate and inform construction professionals on the latest industry technologies and trends,” said BMI President Rob Krzys. “In 2015, the Demo Stage presentations, including a Q&A with Vermeer’s CEO and President, Jason Andringa, were a big hit with attendees. This year Caterpillar, Case Construction, Yanmar, McElroy and Vermeer – to name a few – will be bringing the ICUEE Demo Stage to life with their informative presentations.”
More than 20 fast-paced 20-minute exhibitor presentations will feature product innovations and best practices in action. No registration is required. Just stop at the stage on the show floor (near entrance to South Wing B) during show hours October 3-5.
