Glenny joins Gannett Fleming’s water business

Global infrastructure and engineering firm Gannett Fleming has named Yurfa Glenny, PMP, vice president and Southeast Region Water Business Line leader. In this role, Glenny will promote Gannett Fleming’s diverse technical and consulting capabilities in the water sector and ensure continued operational excellence that achieves client objectives.

“Yurfa has a proven record of successfully managing a portfolio of more than $200 million in client projects while also engaging her team to achieve peak performance,” said Luis Casado, PE, senior vice president, Water Business Line director, and Southeast Region director. “Her exceptional expertise will help our Southeast region clients achieve their critical infrastructure objectives.”

Glenny brings nearly 20 years of experience in the water and wastewater engineering industry to her new role. Based in Miami, she has been responsible for managing projects for municipal, state, federal, and private clients throughout Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

Most recently, Glenny served as client service manager for the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department, overseeing the design of infrastructure improvements for the county’s three wastewater treatment plants. She also led the Central District Wastewater Treatment Plant’s renew and replace program, utilizing asset management tools for inspection, classification and condition assessment evaluation for project development, and prioritization. She also led planning, design, construction, and operations of the Biscayne Bay Coastal Wetlands Rehydration pilot project.

Glenny received her Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Florida International University. She is an active member of the American Water Works Association, the Project Management Institute, and the Florida Water Environment Association.
