In July, GAME Trenchless Consultants announced the signing of three major contracts and is currently negotiating an additional three that the company says will keep it busy long into 2016.
Coming up on its two-year anniversary this September, Piero Salvo, president of GAME Consultants, said the company?s achievements thus far have surpassed expectations.
?These projects are proof that our clients are aware of what GAME Consultants provides, and they will allow us to solidify our position as a specialized trenchless consulting firm providing trenchless engineering and live watermain condition assessment,? said Salvo.??We are in full expansion in Canada and the U.S. and we are looking forward to be able to serve more clients.?
The first project is for site supervision of a watermain trenchless rehabilitation project for the City of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, about 45 minutes west of Montreal. The project consists of contract administration and permanent on-site supervision for approximately 2.7 miles (4.3 km) of structural CIPP lining using Aqua-Pipe and will be managed by Salvo and Sandra Gelly, GAME project engineer. This project is to begin at the end of August and be completed either December 2015 or spring 2016.
The second project signed is for the complete condition assessment of the University of Ottawa?s water distribution system. Salvo and David Gosselin, GAME project engineer, will provide project management of the condition assessment using the JD7 Investigator+ technology on approximately 45 hydrants.?The majority of the pipes on this project are in the 6-in. (150mm) diameter category. GAME is serving as a sub-consultant to Parsons out of Ottawa and the project was scheduled to begin this month and completed by the end of September.
The third project is for the leak detection, CCTV inspection and mapping for the City of Cornwall, Ontario.?This project consists of providing condition assessment using the JD7 LDS1000 technology for a 20-in. diameter (500mm) PCCP pipe dating back to the 1970s.?The pipe in question has a length of approximately 1.4-mile (2.2 km). This project is scheduled to begin this month and will be managed by Salvo and Gosselin.
GAME Trenchless Consultants offers rehabilitation engineering, contract administration, water and sewer condition assessment, including the use of the JD7 Investigator+ for small diameter live water main inspection and leak detection, the JD7 LDS1000 for large diameter live water main inspection and leak detection and also the JD7 Pipescan+ technology that offers live real time wall thickness measurements.
