D’Antoni Joins Black & Veatch’s Planning and Asset Management Team

John D’Antoni has joined Black & Veatch’s water business and will serve as the Texas Regional Asset Management Leader, where he will focus on strengthening the link between project planning, asset management and program management for clients.

D’Antoni’s engineering career spans more than 40 years of consulting in the water and wastewater industry. For the past 25 years he has strongly focused on wastewater collection systems, sustainable infrastructure and asset management. D’Antoni has spent a major portion of his career based in Houston.



D’Antoni has developed eight asset management plans for utilities throughout Texas focused on aging infrastructure and sustainable asset renewal. He has also served in management roles on a number of large, multi-year wastewater regulatory compliance programs, including the $1.2 billion Greater Houston Wastewater Program.

Other project work in Texas includes the Northeast Water Purification Plant project for the city of Houston; comprehensive wastewater collection system assessment for the city of Dallas; the Fort Worth I
ntegrated Wet-Weather Wastewater Program; and the San Jacinto River Authority Woodlands Wastewater Program.

D’Antoni earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, a master’s in environmental health and a doctorate of engineering in environmental engineering from Tulane University.
