AWARDS: PPI Honors Goddard

James Goddard, who recently retired from Advanced Drainage Systems Inc. (ADS) as the company?s Chief Engineer, has been made an Honorary Lifetime Member of the Plastics Pipe Institute Inc. (PPI), the major trade association representing all segments of the plastic pipe industry. In recognition of Goddard?s contributions to the PPI and the industry, the award was made during the group?s annual membership meeting in May 2011.

?We at ADS are proud of Jim?s devotion to the industry as a whole,? said Joe Chlapaty, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ADS. ?He has worked tirelessly on solving infrastructure problems and also on research projects that verify the long-life and durability of corrugated HDPE pipe in numerous applications. Jim has set a work standard at ADS that has been the core of our company?s growth and he holds many ADS patents for
pipe profiles and joint designs. His work is benefiting communities around the world.?

?Jim?s contributions to the industry through his work with ASTM, AASHTO and other organizations has led to the development of standards and practices creating a greater awareness, approval and acceptance of corrugated HDPE pipe,? stated Tony Radoszewski, Executive Director of the PPI during the presentation. ?
?For more than 30 years Jim has been an active member of the PPI participating in numerous committees, task groups and as a key member of our corrugated pipe division,? Radoszewski continued.? ?Because of his selfless dedication to the advancement of the plastic pipe industry, it is with great appreciation for us to bestow our highest recognition of service.?

ADS is the world?s largest producer of corrugated high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe.? Founded in 1966, it serves the storm and waste water industry through a global network of 51 domestic and international manufacturing plants and more than 23 distribution centers. ?
