Advanced Drainage Systems Inc. (ADS), the world?s largest manufacturer of corrugated plastic pipe, announced plans for a new world-class manufacturing facility in Hampton, Iowa. The new plant will be fully operational by mid-September.
?We?re seeing an enormous demand for all of our products including our single wall agricultural pipe, dual wall storm drain pipe, HP sanitary pipe, storm chambers, sanitary chambers, and many other products throughout the region,? said Joe Chlapaty, chairman and chief executive officer of ADS.
?ADS will continue to add manufacturing capacity to ensure that our customers receive the very best in on-time delivery and support. Providing for the customer’s need is paramount at ADS. That is why during the 45 years of our existence we have built more than 50 plants and more than 20 fully stocked distribution facilities. The new production and shipping capacity from the Hampton plant will well serve this region’s growing customer base,? he continued.
“Geographically, the Hampton plant location is well situated to service northeastern Iowa and southern Minnesota. ADS selected this area for its strategic location, excellent interstate access, and for its very qualified and dedicated labor pool,” he concluded.
“We are very pleased to welcome ADS to our community,” stated Doug Peter, the President of the Franklin County Development Association. “Because of its highly respected products that are helping to rebuild our nation’s infrastructure and help our local farmers increase crop yields, I know that our citizens share that sentiment and will be proud to join the ADS workforce.”
