Fourth annual event to highlight utility consolidation, partnerships, new funding mechanisms and national affordability challenges
BRECKSVILLE, OHIO — The 2018 Water Finance Conference, in partnership with the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA), will head to Washington, D.C., Aug. 28-29, for the fourth annual event giving dialogue to financing approaches across the municipal water sector. The conference will be held at the Washington Court Hotel.
In each of the past three years, the Water Finance Conference has gathered attendees for a discussion around the most critical issue facing the future of water infrastructure in the United States — funding. The two-day event presents an in-depth look at funding challenges facing the water/wastewater utility sector while examining unique approaches to public utility finance, private financing, P3s, rate structuring, utility consolidation/regionalization, low income/fixed income affordability challenges, new water financing tools, legislative and regulatory issues affecting the water sector, and much more.
The Water Finance Conference is aimed at reaching executive-level utility professionals such as CEOs, CFOs, general managers, superintendents and finance directors, as well as consultants, financial advisors, lawyers and service providers involved in municipal drinking water, wastewater and stormwater management.
The event is hosted by the journal Water Finance & Management, and sponsored by the NACWA, Echologics and WSP.
In addition to its sponsors, the Water Finance Conference is supported by prominent lobbyist and advocacy organizations representing the drinking water and wastewater sectors. So far in 2018, supporting organizations include the Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies (AMWA), the National Association of Water Companies (NAWC), NACWA and media partner Global Water Intelligence.
