The American Society of Civil Engineers has released an update to its 2013 Report Card for America?s Infrastructure Android/iOS app for tablets and website featuring new state data and graphics. The update is available for free download in the Apple App Store, Google Play Store and at www.infrastructurereportcard.org.

USGS: Water Use in United States Lowest in 45 Years

Water use across the country reached its lowest recorded level in nearly 45 years, according to a new report by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). According to the findings, 355 billion gallons of water per day (BGD) were withdrawn for use in the entire United States during 2010, representing a 13 percent reduction of water use from 2005 when about 410 BGD were withdrawn ? the lowest level since before 1970.
