Palmer joins AMWA board

The Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies (AMWA) recently appointed Craig Palmer, CEO of Pennsylvania’s Erie Water Works, was to its Board of Directors. AMWA said Palmer was appointed to complete the term of an At-Large Board seat that was vacated by the recent departure of Holly Rosenthal of Phoenix Water Services.

Palmer is a licensed professional engineer and has worked in the water sector for more than 15 years and has been at the helm of Erie Water Works since January of 2024.

He is a member of AMWA’s Utility Management Committee and its Regulatory Subcommittee, and AMWA said he has been a frequent attendee at its conferences over the past year. Palmer previously served executive board positions for the AWWA Pennsylvania Section and serves on the state’s Water Utility Council.

AMWA’s Board of Directors comprises drinking water utility executives and general managers from across the United States. The board will next convene at the association’s 2025 Executive Management Conference, Oct. 26-29 in Austin, Texas.
