Trimble, AMERICAN Introduce New Asset Mapping Tool

Trimble, working with AMERICAN Flow Control, recently introduced a free web and mobile application called AFC Mapper. The app is designed to be used with the latest version of Trimble Unity software, AMERICAN Flow Control (AFC) 2D barcodes and Esri geodatabase platforms. AFC Mapper helps water utilities automate mapping functions, locate and manage assets, and improve the efficiency of field operations.

According to Rami Naber, product manager for Trimble Water, the AFC Mapper App allows water utilities to use a “Bring Your Own Device” (BYOD) approach by allowing technicians to use their current iOS and Android smartphones or tablets, as well as Trimble handheld devices.
