DC Water welcomes new chief operating officer

In May, DC Water named Jeffrey F. Thompson as the authority’s new chief operating officer and executive vice president.

Thompson comes to DC Water from the Birmingham (AL) Water Works Board, where he had served as assistant general manager since 2019. In that capacity, he was responsible for ensuring permit compliance and providing safe, reliable water services to more than 770,000 customers across five jurisdictions.
