EBMUD, ASTERRA enter leak detection contract

The East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) and Utilis have entered into a five-year agreement for ASTERRA Recover and MasterPlan technologies.

East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) serves 1.4 million customers with over 4,200 miles of pipelines in the eastern portion of the San Francisco Bay area in northern California. Corrosion, ground movement, soil conditions, variations in water pressure, contract work, and other factors can affect their water pipelines and can lead to leaks.
